For many years The Society for Basque Studies in America (SBSA), an organization founded in 1979 dedicated to the study and dissemination in America of Basque culture, tradition, customs and folklore, sponsored an annual Hall of Fame Banquet honoring Basques for their dedication to Basque Culture and their contributions to the Basque image in the world.
In 2007, six deserving women from Ontario, Oregon Basque Club were inducted in the SBSA Hall of Fame: five charter members -Timmie Echanis, Juanita Hoff, Martina Echanis, Lourana Echanis, and Josephine Keim; and lifetime member and long-time NABO delegate Grace Mainvil.
